Today I'm going to show you a suuuuuuuuper important step in crocheting a beanie: measuring your gauge. In my patterns I have listed the yarn and hook size that I use to make these beanies, but you might hold the yarn tighter or looser than I do. In which case, you would need to use a different size of crochet hook than the one I've listed in the pattern.
This video shows you how to measure your gauge swatch so that you can be sure that your beanie will be the right size every time! And you'll learn what to do if your swatch doesn't match up with the gauge in the pattern.
